Rich Russians, escaping the sanctions of Europe, are flocking to Dubai, but it's interesting to me that even in Dubai, they put their kids in Western aka British schools.
“Dubai is much more free — in every way,” he said, sporting an intricately torn designer T-shirt at a cafe he just opened in the city, where his children are now in a British school. “We are independent of Russia,” he said. “This is very important.”

In the same breath, all of protest videos released by Russian wives/mothers/daughters who's men are being sent into the Ukrainian meat blender, complain not of the war but of lack of training or proper kit for them. No crowds amassing in Moscow to protest the failed 3-day invasion with 160,000 Russian KIA.
Russia is just different and russians are different.

Actually Dubai is former Soviet , with Russians, Ukrainians, Belorussians leading in population followed by former soviet republics.
