Because ethnic russian in Ukrain feel at home more in Russia. I see nearly 20% of Ukrainian are ethnic russians - some 8 million plus.

But Kenya cannot invade Uganda because we have four kalenjin district in Uganda.

Wrong again , prior 2014 the Ethnic Russians and Russian speaking ukranians were majority and had been able to elect a Pro Russian Government .
A substantial number emigrated to Russia prior to 2022 Feb.
Slowly by slowly you are learning about Ukrainian Crisis .
