You are reading too much about this meeting. One thing you should know, the US armed forces do not discuss politics. The US Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark A. Milley is a Donald trump appointee. He is obligated to remain neutral to politics and even Joe Biden would not think of replacing him with another general. His loyalty to the US government is taken for granted no matter which political party has the current president.
Foreign policy in the US is to 100% in the hands of the Foreign Department. If kenya was to be warned, then that would be the work of the Foreign Sectretary or his immediate surbodinates and not the armed forces.
In short, leave your Kenyan mentality in Kenya.

Foreign Affairs determine what action need to be taken based on CIA intelligence. US knows every minute details of what Uhuru is planning. If they know KDF are being involved - CIA will arrange for US military to summon KDF and be given a warning. US interest is keep Kenya peaceful - after Ethiopia gone kaput - Kenya is now more important than before.

When you lose "system" there is a tendency to look for help and hope in all corners. USA is too preoccupied with Ukraine at the moment to care about what kamwana is up to.

US is global system. It has interest everywhere. Definitely kenya is most important in horn of Africa. Moi was thinking of involving the army in 2002 and he was summoned few weeks to election to DC - and told to handover. Moi asked to be given 'jail free card' by Kibaki and Kibaki was ordered to do so. Previously they would default to Britain(UK) but now UK influence over kenya is completely over.
Any visit by Uhuru or military to DC now is not going to be friendly. They will be fed raw intelligence.

Ruto few months ago.... NIS knows who will win...CIA knows who will win..and it's not Raila. It's William Ruto. They do serious polling - run scenarios- and it's obvious Ruto has one leg inside.

As for Raila and 2007 - the man screwed himself up when weeks to election he signed MOU with muslim to undo the anti-terrorism law :) that biggest screw up. US was actively assisting Kibaki to rig election. Before even kibaki was sworn - US already had BIG CONGRATULATION MESSAGE :) ready -and were first with Museveni who cannot stand Raila to send theirs. When bloodshed started - those became the only cards kibaki got - as rest of world watch in horror as mini-rwanda evolved. Poor US Rannebrger was in Kass fm pleading with warriors to go slow.

I think he told Pentagon that even if they rig,No violence will happen because UDA knows one dead kikuyu in rift valley means one million lost kikuyu vote and voter apathy.
