Title: Disappearing objects reappearing...

Like my keys missing then reappear exactly where I'd left them initially a day later... can anyone please explain what this could be?

Powerful imagination.
It is untestable because the first disappearing may as well mean you forgot the last place you left an object, or you just did not look for it properly. But you can try and mark an object's location and then hope it disappears :D
