It's been 5yrs since Rio happened in 2016 but better late than never.
We need more convictions like this to send a message that corruption doesnt pay.

Very good...
Former NOCK official Stephen Soi slapped with 12 years in prison or 105.6 Million fine over the 2016 Rio Olympics scandal.

There is a certain party waiting for them with open arms if they can pay the fine and they can be senator or women rep.
-
After paying fine and accepting guilt verdict - you can never run for office - unless you mean appeal.
That is problem - CS Wario got a slap on the wrist - 3.6M - but if he pays - he can forget about the public sector.

Wario is a lucky bastard. He is still Kenya High Commissioner to Australia. Jubilee regime bure kabisa.
How can a court suspect be elevated to even such a position?

That is another abuse of office - PSC and Uhuru should be sued - that is violation of chapter six - unless he is an elected politician.
Chapter only doesnt apply to elected officials - unless they have been found and proven guilty.
He should be sued to return all the money...and PSC/Ministry of Foreign affairs too.
If he pays fine - he can forget any office - appointed or elected.
