Rewriting history. Sonko has stolen - no doubt - but he has also fought cartels at city hall. You make it sound like city hall was good before Sonko, that land approval was smooth, garbage was being collected.
Let Nairobeans speak. And they will tell you Sonko was doing far better job than Kidero.
I bet if elections are held now - Sonko would still win it.
Sonko did a better job in garbage collection, did a better job in health care ( see Mbagathi and Pumwani - heck whole COVID-19 that national gov keep shouting is because Sonko did good job in healthcare - otherwise Kenyatta is in shambles), has done a better job preventing land grabbing of public utilities including flagging Matiangi 1.5B heist and blocking their plan to get paid for 15B kshs for Ruaraka land, has blocked payment of pending bills to cartels and has always been there in the slums - blocking their evictions and harassments.
And most importantly Sonko did this while REDUCING KIDERO permit fees and taxes that were killing many SMES.
Bring a new election or do an opinion poll....and Sonko will likely win again.

-Gave leeway to cartels who would clog matresses in main water supply lines so they can sell Jerrycans to every nairobi household
- Forced GTC to pay bribes and almost stalled it until the Chinese Government! With orders from the top to the embassy had to appeal to the National government to stop this madness!
- Sonko & cronies almost stalled 88 nairobi by asking for bribes until the owner Jonathan Jackson himself expressed frustration
-prevented investors from creating a skyline you can’t even imagine & jobs because they refused to part with his administrations corrupt filth. Ask anyone in cityhall, there were proposals much more grandiose than the pinnacle! ask anyone who has ever tried to get approvals from city hall
- speaking of the pinnacle this man sent his goons to sabotage it when they destroyed their equipment over the land issue and other “issues” if you know what that means
- had over 220 million in traced kickbacks in his accounts from companies that did almost nothing
- wanted to sell tens of vehicles many almost new machines for SCRAP while Nairobi was choking under garbage and undermaintained roads
- had the audacity to sabotage over 37 billion ksh allocated to NMS! this brought their developmental spree to a halt! Imagine they did most of that with under 200m imagine what they could do now
-let the filth in city hall let THOUSANDS of buildings approvals stall creating a backlog because they were so rotten they would only look at the ones that paid bribes. NMS cleared it all a rather short time.

- along with Kidero let matatu cartels frustrate Not 1, not 2 but 3 plans for light rail in Nairobi by 1.Netherlands, 2.Japan under Jica. 3. Chinese
- him or cartels sent Goons to burn down an NMS asphalt plant. These people have the audacity to do that to the National government and people of Nairobi??
I could go on, but these are the ones that are widely known in corridors
