DEA is if you are selling drugs.  I don't think he's selling drugs (Mwale wouldn't be able to keep up with the high level drug dealers in the US) so maybe credit card fraud? bank fraud? I'm not sure, but he is getting the money from somewhere because he is not getting these things for free, but I'm sure they're watching him (you can't get away with these things in the US) Even Madoff who played a much more sophisticated game was eventually caught.

He is doing legit business, bitcoin, banking, tech, and others on the low-end scale, but he just lies that he is rich to attract rich people. It is OK to lie and fool people about your wealth. You cannot do crime in the US and get away with it, NEVER. As soon as you commit a significant crime, get on the plane within a few hours and stay far away from the US as much as possible. I committed a misdemeanor (Forgetting to pay toll fee in Maryland (I-95); One day, they told me at DMV "your license is suspended (Call this number and pay toll fee)". Anything unlawful behavior in the US will catch up with you. Credit card crime usually turns out to be federal wire fraud, which is many years in jail. You can bet MWALE is crime-free because he would be in and out of jail
