Luhyas have been in the grip of former KANU tumbocrats since Wamalwa Kijana death.  Their leaders have failed to inspire Luhya identity consciousness.  That’s why you have weta representing his stomach on behalf of Bukusu and allied interests.  MDVD wants to eat on behalf of Vihiga and possibly not even Banyore in Vihiga.

Malala has his work cut out.  The Luhya unreliability continues to undercut their political clout.
