World record is dropping. Hyin Kyieng the pokot girl can't keep up. Neither can my neighbour Chepkoech.
-
Jebet??
Never heard a name like that. I know i Heard Chebet.
She moved to Bahrain..
-
Damn..she screw up in the last minute..missed the record by a second.
-
Chebet or jebet are the same name. Kipsigis & tugen I think prefer the che while Nandis & keiyos prefer Je as prefix for female gender. Just heard Kyieng say 'Mokere benderet"...I don't see the kenyan flag.

Kenyan youth should take up these opportunities abroad. Kenya is not friendly at all.
Yego might also have to think twice about playing for kenya. It's not sustainable, until kenya deals with corruption.
Athletes also need retirement plans...I suppose they get taxed heavy.

Apparently there are 30 kenyans running out there including 5 for US.

They are making a joke of the Olympic spirit. It was comical watching Jebet on the podium with Bahrain national anthem playing. IOC should do something about nationality requirements. They seem too loose. It should be very difficult to compete in the Olympics for a country in which you are little more than a paper citizen. The other international meets, sure, they can do whatever they want, because these are more commercialized.
