Lost the little respect I had for the US thanks to the pandemic. The country has been getting by with a poorly educated (white) populace for too long. In the end a combination of an idiot in the White House and a large poorly educated low lying riffraff aided by anti-intellectualism did her in.

One has to admire the South Asians - China/Japan/Korea - they have handled it like bosses. Their people listen to sciences and they follow instructions. I guess it down to having generally high IQ down there.

Any extra deaths from the normal curve. It's a lot in Europe and Americas - than even captured by hospitals. It's less in Kenya - because Covid rules - has helped reduce needless death from diarhoea and such preventable diseases - although many people have died from covid.
For Africa - I'd say keep the hygienic rules forever - keep providing soaps and handwashing opportunities all over - and let people wear masks whenever they have any cold or flu.

Pure nutcase. There is a thorough record keeping in developed world. If in a country - 30K people normally die - and then next year 60k dies - that 30k excess death from the normal.
I guess you need to go to cemetries and count the graves?
