I find it hard to believe that he made almost $1.5 million dollars selling furniture in Kenya.  This story is not adding up at all.

So, he borrowed about $46,000 dollars at a 16% interest rate.  Where did he get the collateral to even borrow that kind of money?

On 22nd of Dec 2022 i borrowed 6.3Million from NCBA Bank. The interest rate at that time was 15.8% - I was supposed to be paying Ksh. 153,200 monthly installments until i clear the loan.

Moving forward to 2024, two years later. William Ruto has messed up the business environment. Profit margins have gone low. My customers (Kenyans) have less money in their pocket therefore their purchasing power has reduced. This has reduced my revenue and cashflow. To add salt to injury he has increased interest rates to above 20%. So now instead of paying 153,200 i am paying 175,705 monthly for that loan that i borrowed two years ago.

That's what is going on in Kenya. Interest rates up, cost of business up. Customers down, economy dives into deflation.
Next step - businesses lay off, businesses close, businesses bankrupt, Recession.
Next Jobless lessness increase even higher, crimes higher,

This Morara guy is a hustler and a con artist too. Which most kisii are. Con.  Anyway there is this talk of oooh inflation is down to 2% but all I can think is that there is no money in circulation. Some prices have come down but still it's a tough. Focus should be on resuscitating the economy. Tuweke siasa kado kwa Sasa Focus on economy.
