They have been paying 100shs an acre since 1926.
It's pure baloney - these multinationals - should pay market rate - lease - for this community land.

I doubt these figures though :)
The tea companies in Kericho County cover more than 500,000 acres of land —about 300,000 acres in Nandi and more than 150,000 acres in Bomet.
Kericho land area itself is 600,000 acres, Bomet 400,000 acres - so not possible - looks like they added zero should be 50K, 30k and 15k respectively
